TURKEY AND THE DEMOCRATS

NEWS ITEM: House of Representives Resolution 106 has been passed by a Committee to condemn the Turks for the genocide of Armenians in the 1914-16 period. It will proceed to the full House soon.

• Why now?
• Why is this being pushed by the Democrats?
• Why did they not do this during the 40+ years they controlled Congress in the 1940s to the 1990s?
• How can this be anything but pure anti-Bush, anti-America politics?
• How much will this damage our efforts to stabilize Iraq and ultimately defeat the Islamobarbarians?
• What will the Turkey government do in reply if this Resolution passes in the House?
• Who gave the Congress any authority in foreign affairs?
• What have the Democratic Presidential Candidate's said about this Resolution, if anything?
